About the Role

Your mission as a Security Operations Specialist at TalentPop is user provisioning, implementing robust security measures, safeguarding the integrity of sensitive company and client data, and protecting our global remote team from potential cybersecurity threats.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Security Provisioning calls with newly onboarded and existing team members. This involves implementing security controls on user devices, performing device hardening, installing and configuring security tools like endpoint protection and password managers, and setting up 2FA/MFA and IAM solutions
  • Manage user account provisioning and provide on-call security setup for new and existing remote team members, making sure they get timely and secure access to company systems
  • Handle the complete offboarding and access removal process for departing team members. Secure all company and client systems immediately and maintain accurate audit trails
  • Take care of secure access management for clients by recording, documenting, and securely storing credentials for their platforms and internal systems while enforcing least-privilege principles across all accounts
  • Address client-specific cybersecurity requirements, ad hoc security requests, and daily cybersecurity tasks. Identify and resolve vulnerabilities before they become problems
  • Safeguard sensitive company and client data, manage data protection policies, and review existing security protocols to recommend and implement improvements that strengthen our overall security posture
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents. Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams during incident response
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training across the organization, and maintain thorough documentation of security processes, configurations, incidents, and access records

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT Security, Security Operations, IT Support, or a similar role with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with user access management, user provisioning, and access controls
  • Working knowledge of two-factor authentication (2FA), multi-factor authentication (MFA), password managers, IAM solutions, and endpoint protection
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to detect and respond to security incidents
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional remote teams
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, HIPAA, and PCI DSS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certification, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus

Internet Requirements

  • DSL, Cable, or Fiber internet connection is required - LAN connection required (25 mbps minimum)
  • Backup internet connection is required (15 Mbps minimum)

Hardware Requirements

  • Laptop/Desktop with a Minimum Core i5 or Ryzen 5 with at least 8GB RAM or equivalent system specifications
  • Desktop/Laptop PC only (no tablets or smartphones allowed for working tools)

Power Requirements

  • Must have a reliable power source with minimal power outages
  • Having a backup power source is also highly recommended (e.g generator, Portable power station)
  • Having a backup location you can go to during a power outage (family member’s house, friend’s house, internet cafe, or a co-working space) is required for all TalentPop Team members
